This League Goes Up to Eleven

Last week saw our third 11 goal game of the season. A ding-dong affair saw the cream filling kicked out of the Wright Stuff’s recent renaissance as Galloping Gamble notched up a hat-trick and Dan “Jigsaw” Henriksen proved his critics wrong with an onion bag breaking half-volley. But the Wright Stuff must be left scratching their heads with Beatie, Whalen & Thorburn’s (no it is not law firm) four goals still not enough to secure victory. Across the great five-yard divide the Chuters shackled the Chaingang with an apparently comfortable 4-1 triumph that reminds us the quest for the Dunning Cup will not be over until is over. Down below the usual suspects popped up, Grimm, Vlad & Ramazan (no it is not an Orthodontic practice), to give the Mooners another “W” and to retire any lingering ambitions of glory AARP may have harbored. However, another “W” (Cami Welch-Griffith) reached the pinnacle of her coed career; calmly converting while sending the renowned BMGK (not DKNY) Jimmy Vessels to his rear as she scored her first ever RSCSL goal. In the almost top-of-the-table clash across the other great five-yard divide Pagni poured pain upon panting Pink Panthers positively providing Pints promising potential pole position (phewwwwwwwwwwwwww).
