The Mother of All Coed Soccer Newsletters

The Weekly Diary of the Reno Soccer Dream

The Only RSCSL Newsletter Fit to Print

Week 3 was not one the goalkeepers will want to remember; 29 goals in 4 games. With colander like defenses abounding all the usual suspects took advantage to increase their goal tallies. But two new suspects burst onto the coed scene. Dan Henrikson and Abraham Irra notched up proverbial hat tricks on the old proverbial goal post, so to speak; catapulting themselves almost to the top of the scoring charts. A whole host of knobbly kneed characters share joint second but no one has scored more than the now infamous “Mr. or Ms. “oh my gosh my golly” I have just netted another OG.” Yes OG stands alone atop the goal scoring chart. With the Blue Mooners averaging one OG per game as I type; I wonder what I did to deserve being the Blue Mooners’ goalie. OGs are not once in a blue moon occurrence…at least not when the Blue Mooners step onto the pitch.

Kids’ Night Out

Also at Home Field Athletics – Once a month on a Saturday (sometimes more) Home Field hosts “Kids’ Night Out” for 1st through 6th graders. Drop the kids off; go out for dinner and a movie; secure that your kids are safe (or not experimenting with the cat…). Organize a team group and Home Field will make a donation to the team. Call Home Field for details at 851-0770. There is a kids’ night out this Saturday May 22nd.

Champion's League May 22nd

Bayern Munich vs. Internationale of Milan .

It is the first time such a game has made it onto a major US network – it will air on FOX 11 at 11:30am. Yes, regular FOX not FSC. I just hope Glen Beck and Bill O’Reilly are not commentating – you can just imagine what they would have to say about such an anti-American, commi-pinko sport like Football, sorry soccer.
