Just as with the World Soccer we moved south last week, not to Africa maybe; but certainly to warmer climes. With leggings, ski hats, gloves now a thing of the past, things certainly heated up at South Valleys. A total of 30 goals were scored in 4 games, count them 30 goals. Compare that to the first round of 16 games in South Africa where a total of 27 goals were scored. Somebody tell ESPN.

South Valleys goals per game = 7.5

South Africa goals per game = 1.7

By the next time we meet on the pitch the fates of both England and the USA will have been decided. I would be a fool to predict the outcomes, but I am fool so here goes. England (now known as the Three Kittens rather than the Three Lions) will squeak by Slovenia in another uninspired performance, once again elevating the foolish hopes and dreams of my boyhood to the fore. Once again I will convince myself that we ( England ) will win the World Cup, only to have my heart torn to shreds once again by some Argentine upstart. Meanwhile the US will defeat Algeria in a game that will become a metaphor for global politics, only to find themselves once again complaining that the ref at the weekend was told by FIFA to make sure the Germans win. Before you write in, yes I may well have my brackets muddled but who cares at this point?

Game Postponement Policy

Although I am now optimistic that the questionable weather is behind us it is advised that you check your email at 3pm on a game day just in case a postponement has to be announced.

By the way good weather is now defined as anything above 32 degrees Fahrenheit, wind speeds below 50 mph with precipitation of any kind and intensity acceptable.
