Games Thursday June 19th

Chaingang v Bhoys & Ghirls                   South Valleys Lower 2

Paperless Tigers v Quattro                      South Valleys Upper1

Euro Envy v Slashers                             South Valleys Lower1

Golden Slumbers v OBG Stoners             Bishop Manogue

Real Studs v Wright Stuff                       South Valleys Upper 2

A chaotic week for me, so forgive the brevity. Yes, it was a case of honey I shrunk the fields and goals last week on the upper fields. The fields were perfect for U12 and Over 50 men and made for some more intimate soccer moments. Should be remedied this week. Still it did not stop 10 goals going in! The top ‘o the table clash between BG and OBG ended 2-2, a perfect result for the Chaingang who won yet again with Reggie “always mentioned” Bolden almost keeping a cleansheet among the plastic palm trees of Bishop Manogue.

A Few Rule Reminders

1.    You do NOT need permission from the ref to sub in/out but you should wait for a dead ball situation to do so.

2.    There is no slide TACKLING. You can slide to save or reach a ball so long as it is not considered dangerous to another player by the referee. Goalkeepers can slide in the box but such slides are governed by the standard rules of the game. i.e. take someone out and it is a foul!

3.    Red cards – the carded player is done for the game but he/she CAN be subbed.
